Scottish Dog Breeds Presentation

Stay tuned for the 2026 schedule!

We need your help in casting the Scottish breeds listed below for our 2026 presentation. If you have a Scottish breed or know someone that does, please contact Diane McLeod: ScottishDogs@sahga.org.

Anyone bringing a dog for the presentation will receive one (1) free admission ticket per dog to be picked up at Will Call. You MUST contact Diane prior to the presentation to take advantage of this opportunity.

Don’t Miss The Parade of Dogs!

After the Scottish Dog presentation, Diane will be organizing a Dog Parade. So please bring your wee (and not so wee) dogs dressed to the nines and join the fun as Diane leads a Parade of Dogs throughout the festival grounds.

Any assistance you can give us will be appreciated. We will have an area set aside for the owners and dog clubs to use after the presentation. There, people can enjoy visiting with the owners and their furry companions and learn more about the unique qualities and special talents of each breed. Several breed clubs and rescue organizations will be present to discuss the work they do with dogs.

There are 14 Scottish Dog Breeds broken into 4 categories:

Terriers

  • Border Terrier
  • Cairn Terrier
  • Dandie Dinmont Terrier
  • Scottish Terrier
  • Skye Terrier
  • West Highland White Terrier

Dog Agility Presentation

Scottish dog breeds, particularly the herding breeds and most especially the Border Collie are exceptionally good at the sport of Agility. Diane M. McLeod-Davis will be giving short agility demonstration using her Border Collie, Jamie and other skilled agility dogs. She will also be talking about the training process and where you can attend classes.

The Dog Agility Course is located behind the Clan Murray tent. Stay tuned for the schedule for the 2026 Games.
